Summary of Meeting:
At our first NACW meeting of 2017, Lt Fernandes gave a 2016 year in review of criminal activity in the neighborhood with a compelling comparison of crime this year vs. last year (see minutes for details). Recent gang activity, the City's reinstatement of the Juvenile Caring Board, car break-ins and graffiti were also discussed.
Councilman Bryan Principe gave an update on the City Council's activities regarding the 6-10 Connector project, followed by neighbor discussion of changes to pedestrian and bicycle safety in regards to plans for the replacement of 6-10.
Lastly NACW initiatives for 2017 were reviewed that include the neighborhood spring cleanup date (April 22nd), new trash can locations, and informational refrigerator magnets highlighting city services.
